Complaints

We strive to provide a high quality service for our clients and hope you will be pleased with the work we do for you. We constantly seek to improve our service and we monitor our service standards. We have a formal complaints handling procedure, a copy of which can be obtained on request.

If you have any queries, concerns or complaints about our work for you please raise them in the first instance with the person who has the day to day responsibility for your claim. Alternatively, you may, if you prefer, raise your concerns with that person’s supervisor. If you are not satisfied with the response you receive you should submit a formal complaint to Gillian Gadsby who is the partner in the firm with responsibility for resolving complaints. She will do her best to ensure that you are provided with a full written response for your complaint within 14 days.

If you are then unhappy with her response you may refer your complaint to the Legal Ombudsman, PO Box 6806, Wolverhampton, WV1 9WJ; telephone 0300 555 0333; email: [email protected]; website www.legalombudsman.org.uk. You must take your complaint to the Legal Ombudsman within six months of receiving our final written response to your complaint and no more than one year from the date of the act/omission or no more than one year from when you realised there was cause for complaint.

In addition to the Legal Ombudsman you can refer an unresolved complaint to alternative complaints bodies such as ProMediate to deal with the matter using what is known as Alternative Dispute Resolution.

The Solicitors Regulation Authority can help you if you are concerned about our behaviour. This could be for things like dishonesty, taking or losing your money or treating you unfairly because of your age, a disability or other characteristic.

You can raise your concerns with the Solicitors Regulation Authority at www.sra.org.uk/consumers/problems/report-solicitor.page
